Reached

The Problem:
It's a long and exhausting journey. They gave you a checklist, not a map. You needed tools and an extra set of hands... But you're on your own.

A PATIENT'S BURDEN
Patient's Need Hands-On Help
Most kidney patients are exhausted, stressed and trying hard to keep their head above water. The checklist from the transplant hospital is correct and aspirational, but it's not a map and nobody offered you tools or help. Most patients don't have skills in marketing strategy, design, messaging, writing, web and SEO, social campaigns or advertising. You need an extra set of hands.
Donor Fear & Resistance
Donors Need Fears Addressed
Potential donors often start with privately-held fears, concerns and questions they feel but rarely ask out loud. The toughest questions are personal and awkward. Will this affect my health and shorten my life? What if my remaining kidney fails? How can I afford time off work? Will my boss punish me? Who pays all the medical expenses for surgery and follow-up care?
The Challenge:
If 48% of all adults in the US
are willing to donate a kidney,
why do 99.95% of them
disappear or say "no?"

The Result:
Fear & Uncertainty –
99.95% of all willing
donors just disappear.

Punch Line:
The problem is not that people do not care. The problem is converting care into donor curiosity, overcoming their reasons for "no," and motivating them to take the first step.
The Challenge:
The conversion challenge between Stage 2, 3 and 4 is complex and daunting for patients and marketers alike. During these stages alone, the donor activation pipeline "leaks" 99.2% of all willing donors – they just disappear.

Why does this happen?
Our research reveals 5 main reasons – 3 are fear, 2 are uncertainty:

an online evaluation at your
transplant hospital.

Strategy

Turn Waiting into Action
Kidney4 is built on a simple truth: waiting alone isn’t a strategy. We help patients move beyond the list by creating visibility, building outreach, and connecting with living donors. With the right plan, the right message, and the right tools, one decision can become a life-saving match.
Story

Real Stories. Real Connections.
Every patient has a story. Kidney4 helps patients share their journey in a way that reaches people, removes fear, and inspires action. Because donors don’t come from waiting lists—they come from connection, understanding, and seeing the person behind the need.
Media

Visibility Can Save Lives
The more people who see a story, the greater the chance the right donor steps forward. Kidney4 uses digital marketing, campaigns, shareable content, and traditional marketing to expand reach and create momentum—turning awareness into real opportunities for connections.
Your Living Donor Marketing Campaign
Professional marketing, great messaging, and evidence-based answers that address donors' fears and uncertainties before they know the words to ask.
Personalized Web Presence
A home base for the patient story. A customized, sharable web presence with a personalized domain, brings the patient to life through stories, photos, videos, testimonials and donor FAQs with a direct links to the transplant hospital's online evaluation.
Social Media Campaign
A campaign that real people in your network follow and share. Kidney4 creates purposeful social content that builds curiosity and trust through repeated exposure - not random posts that disappear in the feed.
Advertising Outreach
The visual tools that carry the patient's story beyond social media. Business cards, flyers, rack cards, QR codes, yard signs, car magnets, and other materials create everyday conversations that turns awareness into action.
We Answer Donors' Silent "NO"
Before anyone says yes, they usually say no. But you never learn why. They disappear without saying a word. Why does that happen?
First, many questions are born in fear and so deeply personal that they are rarely spoken. Second, prior to an online evaluation, donors have few if any resources that can answer their questions.
If you don't proactively address donors' reasons for "no," you'll never hear "yes."

Kindey4 built a database from peer-reviewed research that investigated the top problem-solution pairs potential kidney donors face from initial reaction to their final decision. Here's a quick snapshot:
Safety Precautions
Donor evaluations are deep, yet speedy, and approved if baseline health is excellent with a donor risk profile better than the general public. Tests include labs, CT scans, EKG, Chest X-Ray and done with total privacy.
Donation Risk
The survival rate after donation exceeds 99.99%. That's about as safe as a tonsillectomy or appendectomy and far safer than elective surgery. Why? Advances in laparoscopic surgery, medicines and upfront screening.
Lifetime Safety Net
The NIH says future problems are rare, but if something happens, you get priority for a new living kidney. The National Kidney Registry and Alliance for Paired Kidney Donation provide donors a "lifetime safety net."
Lost Wages
Recovery takes a few days. So, donors are reimbursed for lost income or wages through the transplant hospital's partnership with the National Kidney Registry or Alliance for Paired Kidney Donation.
Out-of-Pocket Costs
Donors worry about out-of-pocket costs associated with the surgery and recovery. You are reimbursed for travel for a companion, lodging, meals, childcare, elder care and even dog care.
Safety Precautions
The survival rate after donation exceeds 99.99%. That's about as safe as a tonsillectomy or appendectomy and far safer than elective surgery. Why? Advances in laparoscopic surgery, medicines and upfront screening.
A note about our research findings.
Kidney4 uses research studies from a variety of sources as well as our own analysis. We acknowledge that findings and assessments can vary at any point in time or over time, based on several factors, including orientation and skill of researchers, population sampling, and scientific advances.
If you don't proactively address donors' reasons for "no," you'll never hear "yes."
A donor marketing campaign doesn't convince a stranger to give up an organ. It's about finding the person who already wants to help, then clearing away the fears and friction that keep them silent.

Got Questions, Get Answers
